The Gramophone Company of London England offered this gramophone between 1898 and 1900. The company was the UK partner to Emile Berliner's US Gramophone Company.

The Gramophone Company was established in London by Barry Owen and E. Trevor Williams to manufacture gramophones and records in Europe. In 1900 the company changed it's name to The Gramophone & Typewriter Company Ltd. In 1907 the company changed it's name back to The Gramophone Company.
