This is the first of three versions of the Edison Concert. They were never assigned revision letters like most Edison phonographs were provided.

The Concert cylinder was designed to play only 5" Concert cylinders. In later times conversion kits were offered so that standard cylinders could be played. This model was made until it was supplanted in 1901 by the Concert "Banner" phonograph.
